Getting To Know You
-
At Stoneline we create a personal relationship with all our office furniture customers to make the process go more smoothly. Before we can even quote your conference table, we talk with you to learn what you need from your table and how you will be using it.
Once your order is placed we consult with you in more detail to make sure we are designing the perfect conference table for you. We ask for diagrams of your conference room and we help you with office space planning if you need it. We provide detailed renderings of your conference table. If you are having wiring installed in the conference room, we can talk with your electrician so you don't have to pass technical messages back and forth.
We provide installation service if you require it. If you have your own installers, we are available on the day of your install to answer questions in case your installers need guidance beyond the instructions we include with every conference table.
Throughout the process, we get to know you and you get to know us. Your conference table is an individual piece designed just for you. Conference Table Design: Top Shape
-
One of the most important decisions you will make regarding your conference table is the shape of the top. At Stoneline we build tables in a wide range of shapes such as rectangular, boat-shaped, racetrack, oval, round. Because every table is made to order, we can build your table in any shape you need: wedge, square, U-shape or even octagonal.
Our most popular conference table top is a Boat with all four sides arced. The curve on the long sides helps improve sight lines so that it is easier for conference participants seated at the far ends of the same side of the table to see each other. The graceful curve on all four sides gives the table a sophisticated modern appearance.
A Racetrack Oval is a circle divided in half and stretched out with straight lines connecting the two halves. This shape is particularly effective with a wiring trough running down the center of the table, or an open space down the center for wiring access (as shown).
Rectangular shapes require simpler machining techniques and are competitively priced, making the rectangle a good choice when budget is an issue. A rectangular table is a clean, basic shape which looks good in almost any conference room.
Round shape tops are an excellent choice for smaller conference rooms. Round conference tables can be built to seat anywhere from 6-24, however this shape is usually chosen when smaller meetings are anticipated.
A Wedge shape top is a trapezoid, narrower at one end. This allows a speaker at the wide end to see down the table, or for participants to view a monitor for video conferencing.
Oval shapes can make the most of a smaller space. Due to the curved sides, less clearance is required in the room than with a Rectangular or Racetrack shaped table.
We also design conference tables in a variety of custom shapes, such as Square, Octagon, or U shape, which allows a speaker access to all participants from the center of the table. Conference Table Inspection: Pre-Flight Check
-
When a conference table is completed, our artisans carefully inspect the table, assemble it and make any adjustments necessary to make sure the table has no flaws and fits together perfectly. Every table we make receives this "pre-flight check" before it is shipped.
For this oval conference table with brushed steel base and granite top, the inspection/assembly process took almost three hours. Now watch it happen in thirty seconds! Press "play" to begin the slide show:

Conference Table Materials: Glass
Stoneline conference furniture is made with Clear, Frosted or "Scratched" glass table tops. Our frosted and "Scratched" glass conference table tops are available with a patterned option with a clear border. Click here for a detailed photo of our scratched glass or our patterned scratched glass. Our unique "Scratched" Glass is a translucent Glass treatment with a hand scratched, cross-hatch pattern. Structural elements of the conference table base read through the glass table top. The color is generally Blue-grey but because it is translucent, the color of the conference room flooring will effect the tone of the Glass. The textured surface is hand scratched into the under surface of the glass and is sealed to protect against fingerprints. It is striking and helps to mask scratches on the surface of the conference furniture. Also, the polished top of the Glass will reflect the color of the conference room ceiling, further affecting the color of the glass under different conditions. Treated with a dye and sealer.
Clear Glass: No special care is necessary with a clear glass conference table top. Simply clean the surface of the glass with glass cleaner and paper towels. Do not use abrasive cleansers or rough materials which might scratch the glass. If a sticky substance like wax, gum or tape residue is stuck to the glass, use a solvent to remove it or carefully scrape the substance away with a razor blade.
Frosted or "Scratched" Glass: If your glass conference table features a finish like Frosted glass or our "Scratched" glass, special care is required. The smooth side (usually the top) can be cleaned as above. But take care when handling and cleaning the treated side.
When necessary, wash the Frosted or "Scratched" surface gently with glass cleaner and a paper towel to remove finger prints and dirt. A solvent or degreasing kitchen cleanser should not be used on the Frosted or "Scratched" surface, as they can cut through the sealer and remove pigment. Also, aggressive rubbing or scrubbing can remove tiny particles of glass and pigment from the textured surface.
A difficult smudge or tape residue can be removed from the "Scratched" glass surface by picking out the dirt from the pores with the tip of an exacto knife. Remove debris from the glass with attention to the existing scratch pattern as you will be adding tiny new scratches.Conference Table Materials: Granite
Stoneline Designs searches the world to find the highest quality stone for our stone conference furniture. If you choose the warmth and character of a stone conference table top, our stone experts work with you to select the best stone for your conference room and usage needs. Stone conference table tops have a sandblasted or hand-tooled border. Click here for a detailed photo of our cleft black slate, jerusalem grey and absolute black granite, honed finish. We also offer conference table tops in absolute black granite with a polished finish.
Polished Absolute Black Granite is a glossy finish which leaves the stone surface impervious to liquids and resistant to scratching. It is an excellent choice for high use applications like frequently used meeting tables. No maintenance is required for a Polished granite table top. To clean the table top, simply wipe off with a sponge and water. Dish soap or window cleaner can also be used when necessary.
Honing black granite creates a beautiful satin finish which looks sophisticated in a formal conference room. However, the Honed finish is not as impervious as Polished.Ê Honed granite will show discoloration from fingerprints or liquid stains, which must be treated with regular maintenance. For general day to day cleaning, use a sponge and water only. Window cleaner and dish soap can also be used when necessary. Some discolorations (such as an oily spill or heavy fingerprint use) may take a couple of washings to even out. See our blog on Honed Absolute Black Granite for detailed information about periodic maintenance of your conference table. What Our Customers Say

Dear Diana,
May I take the opportunity at this time to thank you, Monte and Stoneline Designs for the magnificent conference room table. We have received so many compliments both from employees and outside guests who have seen it. We can't wait to receive the Axis Console which will enhance the table and room immensely. Everyone just loves it!Just wanted to let you know that our Vector table arrived yesterday and it's even more beautiful and well made then I had imagined. The delivery went very smoothly too. I'm sure we'll be enjoying our gorgeous table for many years to come.
We just got the table and it is absolutely gorgeous!!! I was a little nervous ordering such an expensive table without being able to see it in person or touch it, but the table looked exactly as it did in your pictures (actually better), and it's everything I'd hoped it would be and more. Thank you so much for such a wonderful table and great customer service!
Stoneline Designs exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Buying customized furniture online sight unseen, was at first glance, a leap of faith. My faith was rewarded tenfold. Diana handled my detailed questions and initial confusion over choices with grace and patience. I was educated to the point that I felt like I had engaged my own individual office design consultant.
The furniture is a peace of art built to last a lifetime. In my business of Financial Planning and Law, having a solid platform to work on such as the unique Axis conference table, imbues a lasting impression of a physical presence coupled with style. Conference Table Wiring and Power

pictured: Conference Table Wiring Trough, opened to reveal 2 power and 2 data ports in frosted glass table top.All Stoneline conference furniture can include a custom power / wiring system. Electronic devices such as computer, projector, or video conferencing equipment connect to power and data outlets concealed in the table top. Typically a power outlet is installed in the conference room floor under the pedestal, for a seamless appearance. Many power / wiring options are available including:
Wiring Grommet. Two power and two voice/data (cat. 5) outlets inside a 4" diameter hole in the table top. The wires and power/data outlets are concealed by a Brushed Aluminum cover cap.
Center Wiring Trough. (Pictured above) A sliding Brushed Aluminum cover conceals Power and voice/data (cat. 5) outlets. Each sliding cover includes 2 power and 2 voice/data outlets. Additional wiring and outlets are easily accomodated.
Wiring in Conference Table Pedestal. When the table design includes a pedestal, the wiring grommet or pop-up box will be centered over the pedestal, concealing wires and power cables within for a seamless, professional appearance. Many conference rooms include a floor outlet under the table pedestal, making power cables and wires completely invisible.
Conference Table Wiring Channel. If the table design does not feature a pedestal, a wiring channel is placed between leg plates to conceal wires and power cables. An outlet in the conference room floor under the wiring channel hides power cables and wires completely. Click here for photo of a wiring channel in an Axis conference table.
